NORIAN’s customers always have access to an experienced project team that runs the project and ensures that agreed results are delivered in close cooperation with your process specialists. Start by thinking about what you want to achieve with the robotization. As long as the task is routine and structured, it is probably a good candidate for robotization. NORIAN can also help you identify suitable processes.

Define what the business wants out of robotization. Everyone is interested in cutting costs, so high-volume tasks are generally good candidates. If you have a lot of overtime and difficulty meeting deadlines for certain processes, there may also be reasons to take a closer look at whether they are good candidates for robotization. Although structured and rule-based tasks are often good to robotize, ultimately it is the business requirements that should guide which tasks are the best to robotize.

Analysis and business case

In the next step, we want to ensure that the tasks are suitable for robotization and create a business case. You probably want to evaluate how your investment compares to the savings you achieve with robotization. NORIAN can assist with a free analysis of the process and to present a business case.

Preparation and planning

Once the decision has been made to start, the project must be planned. Preparations are made from both sides before our developers begin work on developing the robot script. The tasks must be documented in detail, system access and authorizations for developers and robots must be in place. NORIAN takes responsibility for planning and implementation.

Planning a project is more than creating a schedule. There are many pieces that have to work before we can start the actual development. The soft parts, such as the communication between different people involved in the project, are also an important focus area for us when we run a project.

Your role as process specialists will be very important, even though we are responsible for the completion of the project.

Develop the robot script

When you, the customer, have approved the documentation we created, our developers can start work on creating the robot script. Our team works in close collaboration with your process experts. We will also agree on how the robot should report back to you when it is then put into production and how the runs should be scheduled.

Acceptance tests

When the work on developing the script begins to be completed, our developers plan acceptance tests together with your process experts. As soon as the tests have been completed and approved by you, we plan for the next step – to put the robot into production.

Now your new virtual colleague can start working! Our customer support both monitors and maintains the robot and you can sit back and wait for the reports that come after each run. You can also look at the robot through the dashboard we provide, and see statistics and availability.

Maintenance

Once the robot is in place, you need to ensure that everything runs according to plan. System upgrades, process changes or temporary system disruptions are examples of things that can disrupt the robot and therefore require a certain amount of maintenance.

NORIAN offers both monitoring and First Line support for your robots and this is included when you subscribe to our cloud service. As soon as a new bot script is implemented and in production, our support team makes sure everything is running smoothly.

Response times and the time we guarantee to start problem solving are described in our SLA and the work to remedy incidents is included in the monthly prices for the cloud service. This can also be offered separately if you wish to set up the robots on-premise.

NORIAN aim to offer you access to deeper levels of expertise and experience than would be financially feasible for you to retain in-house on a long-term basis. Moreover, you can control your expenditures on consulting services by only purchasing as much consulting services from us as desired.

NORIAN start with a practical approach when advising our customers.
